In 1981, Conrado A. Escudero published his first book, The Coconut Cookbook, a 100+ collection of coconut recipes from all over the world. His new book, the Villa Escudero Coconut Plantation Cookbook, complied and narrated by Cocoy Ventura, is a follow-up book with a closer focus on Don Ado’s life, family traditions and the Villa Escudero foodways. Now 83 years old and very active, Don Ado’s hands-on approach to his Tiaong, Quezon plantation resort, Villa Escudero, can still be seen and felt.
